Lots of Rain!

All this rain makes me think Spring is going to be early. I hope, as I miss cutting grass and trimming shrubs at Lakefront Estates and having coffee with our neighbors!

Xmas tree patriotic2_web

As the Christmas season approaches during these difficult times for our country and citizens, let us be grateful for the good things we Americans have.  Freedom, the pursuit of happiness, capitalism, and the most beautiful land in the world are some of the magnificent ones that come to mind.

Here is a picture of our pheasant hunt in South Dakota last month.  Had a great time with the guys.  I’m heading back out today for some deer hunting.  I bet it’s going to be cold out there.  Hope you all miss me!

Picture of the year award

Marty was out at the property the other day and got this shot at Lakefront Estates.  What are the chances that a deer would stand by the prettiest tree in the entire subdivision with the water in the backround?  We think she should get the “Picture of the Year” award!

Look at this guy!

I found this huge turtle near the entrance to Lakefront Estates heading towards the pond on the neighboring property.  He was as big as the turtles you find in the zoo!  I took a minute and watched him meander through the grass while thinking about all the wildlife I’ve seen at our lakeside community.  Nature can be so beautiful if you just stop second to take it all in!

Nature at it finest

Our grass and landscaping at Lakefront Estates looks great and we are going to spread lime and fertilizer on the whole neighborhood in October to keep it green and growing as far into winter as possible then green us up as early as possible in 2010 early spring.  The deer are everywhere, the turkeys are grouped together – all in right with the nature world at Lakefront Estates.
