Here is a picture I took of the shoreline yesterday - mid January. You can see that the water level is barely down from full summer pool. Watts Bar only drops down between 2 and 6 feet in the winter, while some other TVA lakes drop over 30 feet. We think this year-round water is one of the very best reasons to be at Lakefront Estates.

Does anyone know that the big gazebo in Lakefront Estates is designed like the antique bandstand at Chilhowee Park in Knoxville? Circa 1919. Lots of history there.

There were residents in the gym and clubhouse today working out, watching TV and drinking coffee. We are starting to look like a real lake retreat!

I just received the Ideal Living Winter 2009 magazine and there is a great article called “Opportune Time to Move”. It has some interesting facts about why there are many advantages to moving South in our current economy.
Click here to check it out.

It was a great day at Lakefront Estates -if you are a goose! You can’t actually tell in the picture, but it was pouring down rain but the geese were out in great numbers strutting their stuff.
